Heartwave is designed to separate private account information from public dating-profile information.

Information we process

We process account information such as your email address and date of birth, public profile information such as your display name, city, country, biography, interests and relationship goal, dating preferences, profile photos, likes and passes, matches, messages, reports, blocks, subscription records and payment references.

Your exact date of birth is stored in private account data. Other members receive your calculated age rather than your birth date.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, enforce the 18+ requirement, provide discovery and compatibility ranking, create mutual matches, operate messaging, prevent blocked users from interacting, process reports, provide Premium entitlements, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

Profile visibility

Most dating-profile information is available only through controlled Heartwave discovery and match functions. If you separately enable homepage featuring, limited safe profile information may be displayed on the public Heartwave homepage. You can turn this setting off in Settings.

Payments

Paystack processes Premium checkout. Heartwave stores payment references, status, amount, currency, subscription identifiers and limited transaction metadata needed to activate and maintain Premium access. Heartwave does not store full card details.

Safety and moderation

Reports may be reviewed by authorized Heartwave moderators. Account access can be restricted when needed to investigate abuse, fraud, underage use or violations of the Terms.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your Heartwave account from Settings. Application records linked to the account are removed through database relationships. Profile photos stored in Heartwave's profile-photo storage are also removed as part of the deletion workflow.
